NEVER SAY NO TO A PANDA

This is a hidden piece I have found on the internet. It is a series of very funny ads for Panda cheese, a product for an Egyptian company of dairy products. It shows a menacing panda forcing people to consume Panda products. It was awarded with two lions in the last Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival

korean things

Last summer I went to Korea and I really had a good time. You can find machines like this one everywhere.
Chilsung Cider is a Korean beverage probably the most popular in Korea. However, it is not really a cider, it is similar to Seven Up but a little sweeter.

As it has been a popular drink for many years we can find some funny old commercials:

You can learn more about CHILSUNG CIDER here .

VILA-MATAS

Image from Loredano (El País)
Enrique Vila-Matas is one of my favourite writers. He is able to create from his 'metaliterary' style extraordinary works of novelistic fiction.
His work blends styles, it mixes articles, novels and essays. In most of his works he portays himself as an astute an original reader of literature and his observations on other writers are fascinating.
This link approach us to some of his thoughts about literature and life.

And the following video contains a conversation between Vila-Matas and Paul Auster. Fantastic!!

Montano ('El mal de Montano', Montano's Malady) was the first of his books I read and it was captivating.
Montano's narrator suffers an apparently incurable obsession with literature. This obsession is so strong that it starts to inhibit his ability to write.
The main themes present in the book are death, melancholy, the landscape, travel, literature, the past and of course Kafka.
